ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY

Astro-English: from Astronese, the prefix astri- is a form of the prefix astro- denoting “the astronomical world and its phenomena” which when conjoined with the suffix -ism to denote “a belief” altogether brings about the general meaning of “a belief about the astronomical world.”
